Jane finally gave birth to her beautiful baby boy on Jane the Virgin Season 1 Episode 22.
Unfortunately, the happiness did not last because Sin Rostro made a surprise reappearance to take part in the kidnapping Jane and Rafael's son.

Why do you think Sin Rostro kidnapped baby Mateo?
Terri: Honestly, I have no idea. That completely stunned me. Maybe some kind of leverage with Rafael or his sister?
Amanda: I agree with Terri. There’s no other reason for kidnapping Mateo other than leverage over Rafael and the hotel.
Mary Kate: Leverage does seem like the obvious choice. As bad as Sin Rostro is, thankfully, I don’t see that she’ll hurt him. All that is obvious is that Rafael will go to hell and back to get back his son.
Do you think Petra will go through with using Rafael's sperm or will she or someone else stop her?
Terri: I’m afraid she’ll do it and then insinuate to Jane that she slept with Rafael just as Jane and he are trying to reunite. You know, generally make a big ole mess of things.
Amanda: I’m hoping they do something more interesting than Petra inseminating herself. However, it would make sense for Petra to use his sperm as a way to link herself to Rafael forever.
Mary Kate: I hope not. I certainly wouldn’t put it past the show to do that. Like Amanda said, having Rafael’s baby would definitely connect her to Rafael forever. She’s gone off the crazy train now.
Xo and Rogelio got hitched in Vegas. What do you think this will mean for them?
Terri: I’m hoping they’ll realize they did it because of how much they love each other and then try to make it work. Maybe have another “proper” wedding later on, because I’m thinking Alba will not be happy.
Amanda: I think they’re both horrified for different reasons. Xo is probably upset because getting drunkenly married in Vegas wasn’t what she pictured for herself, and Rogelio is probably not in any hurry to be married yet again. It would be nice for them to have a proper wedding later on, but I’m sure more obstacles will present themselves first.
Mary Kate: I’m happy they are married. I had a feeling something bad was going to happen when they started to drink with Rogelio’s fans. They both love each other, but are too stubborn to get back together, the marriage skips a step. I’m not sure who will be more mad Xo or Alba.
Are you happy Jane's choice in terms of her romantic decision?
Terri: Yeah, I think with the baby it’s time to push pause on things for a little while. It’s all too overwhelming. Especially considering what happened to poor Mateo.
Amanda: For sure! Mateo is priority number one. She can’t be wrapped up in romantic drama now that she has a newborn. Also, we can’t forget that her son has been kidnapped. I’d say that will definitely push any romance out of her mind for the time being.
Mary Kate: I’m so glad that she chose Mateo over Rafael and Michael. Now’s the time she should focus more on her baby boy then who she should be romantically involved with. When she’s reunited with Mateo and is happy in her new life then she could revisit. For now, find her baby and raise him for a while.
What is one thing you would like to see in season 2?
Terri: The baby returned immediately. That just seemed too serious for this show and I found it very upsetting. I can’t even imagine the utter devastation Jane and Rafael are going to go through.That really gutted me.
Amanda: I don’t want the kidnaping storyline to last long. I also want to see Jane make a definitive decision between Rafael and Michael at some point.
Mary Kate: I agree with everyone. Mateo needs to be returned ASAP. It’s going to be devastating to watch Jane worry about getting Mateo back. I’m also interested in seeing how Xo and Rogelio react to being married.
What was your favorite moment from the Jane the Virgin season finale?
Terri: Probably when Xo showed up at just the right time and repeated the same words to Jane that Alba had once said to her. Jane’s loving laugh and the look on Xo’s face brought me to tears. Such tenderness and utter love.
Amanda: Definitely the birthing scene. There was so much love going on in that room!
Mary Kate: Everything when Jane welcomed Mateo. I loved the family scenes with the reaction to the baby being a boy, announcing his name and even Michael meeting Mateo for the first time. So sweet.
